The Country Store is the oldest continious operating store in The Valley.
It was
founded in the 1920's by Mr. Dennis Plummer and moved to it's present
location in
1948, The Country Store was purchased by Carroll and Peggy Long in
1996 who
operated it until 2006.

The Country Store was then purchased by David & Kimberly Dail in
January 2006
who operate it on a daily basis keeping the country atmosphere and
welcoming the
motorcycle community into The Valley.

"The Store" as it is called by the bikers, has a distinction of being the
epicenter of
motorcycling in the Northeast Tennessee area. We boast at having 1
Valley, 3
Mountains and 489 Curves within a 12 mile radius of the crossroads.

No Matter what kind of bike you ride, this is a great place to visit, ride
'The Snake",
meet friendly locals, and just trade stories with other motorcycle
enthusiasts.

The Store is open 7 days a week and offers cold drinks, Gas, excellent
chili dogs, a deli
with various kinds of sandwiches and snacks, "The Snake" t-shirts,
helmet stickers,
lottery tickets and various motorcycle accessories. Try one (or two if
your really
hungry) of our most excelent full 1/2 pound Black Angus Chuck burgers
cooked fresh
on the outdoor grill.

Shady Valley offers an atmosphere that most of us can only dream
about. Step back in
time about 30 years and visit The Country Store and ride "The Snake".
